Tactics
The queenside attack
Attacks on the other wing are slower, more often positional, and just as decisive. They usually come with a pawn majority or against a king that castled long, and the tactics are the same ideas working on the a, b and c files instead.
How to spot it
A king castled long stands on c1 or c8, one square from the b-file and two from the a-file, which are the files a pawn storm is cheapest on. If your king is on the other side, pawns in front of it are not weaknesses, so push them: this is the one attack where you are not opening lines to your own king.
