Every tactic you had and did not play is still sitting in your game history. Motify digs them out, drills the idea until it sticks, and then puts the exact position you got wrong back in front of you.

What is Motify?

Motify is a chess trainer that turns your own games into tactics puzzles. It reads your lichess and Chess.com history, replays every game through Stockfish, and stops at the positions where you had a tactic available and played something else. Each of those becomes a puzzle, and you meet it after three warm-ups on the same idea rather than cold.

How is that different from a puzzle set?

A puzzle set is somebody else's positions. Every position Motify shows you is one you actually sat in front of, in a game you played, against an opponent who was really there, and got wrong. The three warm-ups in front of it come out of lichess's 6.1 million labelled puzzles, matched on the idea you missed rather than on your rating.

Do I need an account?

Not to try it. Type a lichess or Chess.com username and Motify reads your recent games and builds eight positions out of the first two tactics it finds. An account is what makes it keep going: a full year of history, your record, and the openings you lose in.
